My exam by Dr. Cress seemed thorough and the lady who took me back to do the initial exam was very professional and kind. I appreciated that.
However my good experience stopped there. Today, when it came time for my follow up appt on my contact lenses (required before I was allowed to order the newly prescribed lenses) I inconveniently have the flu. I called to reschedule the appointment and was told the earliest available opening was three weeks out which would be 5 weeks from my original appointment. I was also told the appointment was required and had to be with Dr. Cress. The female I spoke to was very disinterested in my dilemma and when I said I would just have to come in to be seen with the flu so I could get my contacts ordered, she told me they strongly discouraged people from coming in sick but if I had to, I needed to stop and get a mask to wear in the office. The entire conversation was disheartening and frustrating. I have the flu, the last thing I feel like doing is catching attitude from a receptionist, let alone running around to find a disposable surgical mask and go to a 2 minute appointment inside of a crowded mall so I can order contact lenses I have already been fitted for. Zero customer service skills, compassion, understanding and flexibility.
I have been a patient of Dr. Musler at the Pinevile location for years and have always had a great experience. The staff is so nice and professional, Dr. Musler is always friendly and explains the outcomes of my eye exams in simple terms. Appointments are efficient and the team is well coordinated. I would recommend the practice to others.

Hope and the girls out front in the reception area are absolutely fantastic!! Dr. Cress is always a professional as usual and even took the time to show me some of the new technology advancements they now have in their office, pretty awesome stuff! I highly recommend this office for your eyes needs.
