This place is horrible. The only reason I gave one star is because no stars was not an option. The man working there was rude, condescending and should not be working in customer service. The price of my rental was good but I would rather pay a little more then be treated horribly. At all cost stay away!
Horrible! They charged both my credit card and debit card for the same weekly rate of a rental. When I called to asked them how they got my debit card info, I was told that I authorized both which is crazy! Who wants to ne charged twice for the same thing! Come to find out, they used a previous rental agreement for when I used my debit and charged both. The credit card I authorized and a debit card I didn't authorize from a previous agreement. This is illegal and I am getting my attorney involved! I've rented from this place several times and everytime I have used the Avis through them instead of Budget, it's been a problem. Tje owner/operator or manager Patrick was not helpful at all. He argued that what I saw in my activity or transaction history from the bank was indeed a hold and not a charge. Even when I explained to him that both banks stated the charge! Patrick was not intetested in helping me resolve this with his billing department. He gave me a 1800 number and told me to call myself. When I did, Kimberly was worse! She gave me the complete run around!
Very unprofessional. I made a rental reservation the week before my scheduled pick-up. I arrived at the Pineville Budget at the scheduled pick-up time. Upon arrival they had no vehicles available for rental. I explained to the employee that I took off from work so I could leave on this day for my destination, however; he told me there were no vehicles available and he didn't know when he would get one in. The Budget car rental employee did not call me to let me know there were no cars available, instead he made me waste a trip to the location to find out there were no vehicles. He even went as far as to say he knew the night before that there were no vehicles, but did not call because he didn't want to disturb me. I stated to the employee that it was very important that I leave on this day in the morning and the counter employee told me he would call me later in the day if a car became available, however; I never heard from him. I tried calling the Pineville location throughout the morning, but nobody at the location answers the phone, so I was unable to contact them to find out if they got a car in. I called corporate and they told me I could go to the airport to get a rental car. But the same car I reserved was going to cost me $450 more. Where I come from that's called bait and switch. Budget corporate was unwilling to do anything, saying they just upgraded their computers and could not adjust the price for me. Simply the worst company and the worst customer service I've ever seen. If you rent from Budget you're out of your mind. I tend to think anybody giving them more than one star is an employee the company or a shareholder.
I have rented from this location for over a year and would never go anywhere else! The service here is always above and beyond, Val is my favorite face to see when I pick up a car.
Convenient, prices are good, nice helpful staff, in/out quickly.
